The recent Recognition Day of PCU-MJCN Class of 2026 held at the MJCN Campus marked another meaningful milestone filled with gratitude, honor, inspiration, and faith. At last, another 21 competent, dedicated, and Christ-centered future nurses have successfully reached the summit of Mt. Mary J and are now preparing for the next chapter of their journey as they soon face the Nursing Licensure Examination and enter the nursing profession.

The event served as a celebration of hard work, perseverance, and commitment. The class was inspired by the guest speaker, who encouraged them to pursue their profession with excellence and become game changers among the new generation of nurses, individuals who will not only provide care but also create meaningful impact in the lives of others.

Special recognition was also given to students who demonstrated exceptional performance and dedication through prestigious awards such as Best in Community Nursing, Leadership Award, Best in Bedside Nursing, and Academic Excellence Award. These achievements reflect not only academic success but also passion, service, and commitment to the nursing calling.

Beyond the awards and recognition, the event became even more meaningful as the graduates took their oath as new members of the Alumni Association, officially becoming part of a growing community of professionals and leaders. In addition, the class was prayerfully dedicated to God by the pastor as they prepare to take one of the most important milestones in their lives, the board examination.

Recently held at the Mary Johnston College of Nursing Campus, the PCU-MJCN Class of 2026 hosted a meaningful and memorable Tea Party as part of their Social Ethics subject activity.

More than a simple gathering, this event became a beautiful learning experience where students applied the principles of professionalism, social ethics, hospitality, leadership, and collaboration. The class was taught not only the importance of organizing and hosting a formal tea gathering, but also the deeper values behind creating an environment of respect, unity, and meaningful connection.

The scenario for the activity celebrated one of their classmates being elected as a member of the Board of Nursing, symbolizing achievement, dedication, and service to society and the community. Together with the participation of the Class of 2026 and faculty members, the event reflected joy, support, and pride as students embraced ethical values through celebration and fellowship.

Every table arrangement, conversation, and shared moment reminded us that ethics goes beyond academics, it also values compassion, relationships, dignity, social responsibility, and the ability to celebrate milestones with others.

The HIV and AIDS Candle Lighting Ceremony held at the Mary Johnston Hospital Lobby was a meaningful gathering of remembrance, empowerment, and solidarity. Guided by the theme “Peer Magic: Empowerment, Connection and Hope,” the event honored the lives of those who passed away due to HIV and AIDS while strengthening support and hope for People Living with HIV.

A significant highlight of the ceremony was the active participation of PCU MJCN students. Through their heartfelt song and involvement in the candle lighting ceremony, they expressed compassion, unity, and advocacy. Their presence reflected their calling as nursing students in formation, growing in both competence and character as they learn to provide care rooted in empathy, respect, and dignity. Standing in solidarity with the message of acceptance, they helped strengthen the call to end stigma and discrimination against PLHIV.

Facilitated by the MJH Jacobs Well Clinic and joined by employees of Mary Johnston Hospital, the event served as a reminder that healthcare providers must continue to deepen their knowledge and compassion to deliver healing care that restores hope.

As nursing students in formation, this experience calls for a deeper commitment to Christlike service, where healing is expressed not only through skill but also through presence, understanding, and love.

The halls of Philippine Christian University–Mary Johnston College of Nursing came alive with stories that many people pass by every day yet rarely pause to truly see.

Held at the Javalera Auditorium, MJCN Campus, the Nursing Documentary Film Festival 2026 of the PCU-MJCN Class of 2028 carried the powerful theme, “Sulyap Dalita: Echoes of the Unseen,” presenting six (6) moving short documentaries that reflected the realities of ordinary Filipinos quietly enduring life’s daily struggles while their own health and well-being are often left behind.

As part of their Nursing Informatics course, the nursing students stepped beyond the four corners of the classroom and immersed themselves in the community to witness the untold stories of individuals fighting silent battles through poverty, sacrifice, exhaustion, and hope. Through their lenses, the students captured fragments of life that revealed not only hardship, but also dignity, resilience, and humanity. 

The event concluded with the awarding ceremonies where selected faculty members served as judges for the minor and major awards.

More than cinematic excellence, the festival celebrated empathy, awareness, and the courage to tell stories that matter. Every documentary echoed the silent struggles, hidden pain, and quiet resilience of people whose voices deserve to be seen, heard, and felt.

In celebration of Mother’s Day, the PCU–Mary Johnston College of Nursing community held a simple yet heartfelt appreciation gathering dedicated to the hardworking and devoted mothers of PCU-MJCN. Through the initiative of Mary Johnston College of Nursing Scholarship Foundation, Inc., the celebration became a meaningful moment of gratitude, love, and recognition.

The MJCN community is truly blessed with strong, selfless, and dedicated mothers who continue to serve with patience, compassion, and diligence every single day. Faculty members and students shared heartfelt messages of appreciation, honoring the mothers who tirelessly care, guide, and help shape future nurses with wisdom and kindness.

To all the mothers of PCU-MJCN, thank you for your sacrifices, your gentle strength, and love. May the Lord continue to bless you with strength, peace, joy, and abundant love, just as you have generously poured these into the lives of others.

Empowering Hearts: A Mentoring Seminar for the Next Generation

PCU-MJCN invites all nursing students, alumni, and ministry volunteers to a meaningful seminar focused on strengthening those who are passionate about introducing God to children and teenagers.

The recently held Linggo ng Wika at PCU-MJCN was a vibrant celebration of Filipino culture, organized by the Student Body Organization's Program Committee. The event, titled "Filipino, Wikang Mapagpalaya," was filled with traditional Filipino games, activities, and performances that brought the students together. After enjoying a lively boodle fight dinner in the dining hall, where everyone shared a meal of Filipino delicacies served on banana leaves, the highlight of the evening was the induction of the new SBO officers. These new leaders took their oaths, pledging to be responsible role models for the entire SBO.

The excitement continued with a series of traditional Filipino games such as patintero, karera sa sako, tumbang preso, pabitin, hulaan ng bugtong, Tongue Twister, Singing Bee, and Animal Sounds, all of which were thoroughly enjoyed by the students. The event also showcased the talents of each class, with BSN 2 performing a folk dance, BSN 3 singing Filipino folk songs, and BSN 4 presenting a reenactment and dance. The faculty joined in the festivities, performing a medley of Filipino songs that added to the memorable atmosphere.
