The recent medical and dental outreach was successfully conducted through the continued efforts of Sir Joshua Paradero '83 together with PCU MJCN Class 2027, MJCNAA representatives, doctors, dentists, and volunteers who generously shared their time and skills in service to the community.

The activity was held on May 7, 2026 at Green Valley Church, Don Remedios Trinidad, Bulacan, and on May 8, 2026 at the Asian Center for Biblical Studies, Majayjay, Laguna. Both venues were made possible through strong church partnerships that helped extend care and support to the communities served. The team was able to serve the following:

The Mary Johnston College of Nursing Scholarship Foundation (MJCNSF) has officially partnered with Barangay 275 Zone 25 District III, Parola Tondo, Manila, as the newest community for the Training and Assistance Program in Self-Reliance (TAPS) Project. The Memorandum of Agreement was signed by Ms. Maria Lourdes Galima, representing MJCNSF, and Barangay Chairman Bernardo Narito, with the presence of barangay kagawad and selected students from Class 2027 witnessing the momentous event. This enduring commitment to community empowerment and health promotion reflects PCU-MJCN’s mission to serve God's people. Through the selection of Brgy. 275 as the new community for the TAPS project, the foundation continues to create meaningful opportunities for self-reliance and holistic wellness, guided by the values of care, compassion and service. Serve wholeheartedly, as if you were serving the Lord, not people. – Ephesians 6:7

PCU-Mary Johnston College of Nursing students recently participated in a poignant HIV Candle-lighting Ceremony at Mary Johnston Hospital. Through heartfelt songs, they honored the lives lost to HIV, resonating with the theme "Together we stand, Together we heal, Through love and solidarity." This event was a powerful affirmation of our students' commitment to compassion, acceptance, and empathy. By coming together, they embraced a message of unity against stigma and discrimination, embodying the timeless teachings of Jesus to "Love one another as I have loved you" -John 13:34.

Sir Joshua Paradero, Class of 1983, visited PCU-Mary Johnston College of Nursing, which holds immense significance as it propels forward a surgical mission at Grace Mission Hospital Inc. in Catiningan, Socorro Oriental Mindoro. Joined by our graduating Class of 2024, this ministry exposure promises to ignite care and compassion within our PCU-MJCN students, marking a pivotal moment in their journey of service to the community.

The PCU-MJCN Student Body Organization and Faculty hosted the cherished tradition of the Christmas Cantata, a longstanding practice at our esteemed Alma Mater. This event commenced with a Christmas Chapel Service where students from the classes of 2024-2026, alongside faculty members, presented a medley of Christmas carols. The collective singing reverberated the true essence of the season, fostering a heightened sense of Christmas spirit among all participants.

The culminating moment of this celebration involved spreading joy to the beloved patients at Mary Johnston Hospital. Faculty and students adorned the hallways and nurse stations with melodious songs, while also distributing Christmas cards to patients through the attentive nurses on duty. This heartfelt gesture aimed to bring comfort and warmth to those in the hospital during the holiday season.

Honoring the legacy of Ma'am Goodwill Amelande Yap Mercado Lansang ‘67 was commemorated through the unveiling of the 'Higher Grounds' painting. This significant artwork, generously donated by the Class of 1967, symbolizes the enduring dedication of Ma'am Lansang, a respected leader of PCU-MJCN.

The 'Higher Ground’ painting represents a pursuit of spiritual ascension, embodying love, commitment and a quest for a higher purpose. It beautifully reflects Ma'am Lansang's devotion to our Alma Mater.

The event, which took place at the PCU-MJCN lounge on December 6, 2023, was graced by esteemed guests, including members of the Lansang family, alumni from the Class of 1967, students, and friends.
